Wayne Routledge is a very good signing for Newcastle United

Routledge - a Very good signing for the Toon Army is you ask me
It’s surprise news to say the least to hear that Newcastle have signed Wayne Routledge from QPR today and very good news if you ask me. The winger has signed a reported 3 and a half deal on Tyneside and for a fee of £1m, which if true, is very good value. Routledge as you might remember was a Tottenham and Villa former and an exciting winger. Watching him for QPR on many occasions, I think he has real potential on Tyneside and it’s a very good capture by Toon boss Chris Hughton.
Sky Sports are running the story that he has signed but it’s official news, as stated on Newcastle’s website. However, we’re led to believe that, by many a source, the fee is £1m. I for one am excited about the prospect of Routledge.
He has a record of playing a season or two at a few clubs, Fulham, Palace, Villa and now QPR to name a few, but I’m confident Chris Hughton can get the best of the lad who has been hampered by injuries in seasons gone by.
We are meant to seal a deal for Mike Williamson today too which will be good going for Hughton and co. Interest in Everton’s Jame Vaughan also seems to be mounting with news that he could well arrive at Newcastle too.
Anyway, Routledge is a surprise signing and a nice surprise at that. It’s not often we’ve had them at Newcastle.

DOOCEY; c/p gone in to admin
That’s not a very good day for Palace fans then.
Hope you are right, though i have my doubts.
History of injuries, lotta clubs, see what happens.
im verrry hapiiii with wayne, guna be a class act.
will be better than jonas
This came as a surprise but I am so relieved we have signed a wide right player, it will give much needed balance to the side. If this Williamson comes in and we get a forward too, as Hughton seems determined to do, that leaves us just needing cover for full back.
I am assuming young Donaldson will play tomorrow night and he will be marking Moses!!!!!!
i’m not cheering this signing at all. many clubs many injuries. making signings for the sake of it. i know we need balance on the right but routledge is not the answer. sorry chris bad decision me thinks.

Ed’s a dedicated ‘blogger and intent on getting the news to Newcastle fans as quick as he can. He’s usually never far off the mark when something happens. He’s good at it
Whereas I don’t tend to break the same news that every other site is, at the the same time.
I think rather than having the same read on here, I like to offer a different look at things.
I try anyway

Yeah, it’s quiet.
Williamson deal is expected to go through very soon, hopefully can be half decent.
Well, I agree with what you wrote, but not with all of it. Regardless, it’s all good material. Thanks!
