He hasn't signed for AEK. I'm from Uruguay, and a Penarol fan also, so I know Arevalo as he played in my club. According to the local press in Uruguay there are two clubs intending to sign him: one of them is Newcastle and the other one is Cagliari from Italy. He a great player, playing in a vital function for any team. Hope he signs for Newcastle!!

I agree he stood out in all the matches he played, won the ball closed down players and did not give daft free kicks away.By far better than anything we have at Newcastle.

Anthony Annan was very good indeed at the World Cup with Ghana but he's a very highly rated youngster and is being touted with a move to clubs like Aston Villa, Napoli and so forth. Little chance we'd get him but he'd be a very good player for Newcastle as well, good spot Fozzle.

Agreed Robby Bobson Perez was brilliant, a younger version of Arévalo. However, he's with Monaco and would carry a pretty sizeable price tag before he'd even consider us. Unlike Perez, Arévalo is 28, plays for Penarol and would be moving on soon enough. There's little chance we'll get him, or even go for him, but I think he's a very decent player. Looks like I wasn't the only one who noticed.

the main player in that role that caught my eye was Annan from ghana, he won the ball then played simple, didnt try to over complicate things. he looks like a decent player and only plays in norway so will probably be in our range

My eyes were drawn to Perez his partner in breaking up play. I was watching Perez as hes the type of player i love watching no nonsence all or nothing sort of player, but Arevalo kept catching my eye as well.

Either one of Perez or Arevalo would be so awesome. Arevalo is at a less of a club so hes the more likely to come. He looks fat to be fair but is in the right place at the right time!
