Crystal Palace administrators will accept the highest bid for Moses

Newcastle United, West Bromich Albion & Nottingham Forest all bid for Victor Moses

Moses - Would be a great signing from Chris if we could manage to pull it off

You have to credit Chris Hughton since taking over this summer. Not only are we top of the table, playing generally well, but for the first time in a while, we’ve secured 3 transfer signings in a couple of weeks. This is very good news and encouraging stuff to say the least. With Danny Simpson, Wayne Routledge and Mike Williamson already confirmed Newcastle United players , theres strong reports that Brimingham’s Martin Taylor could be next on Tyneside. As well as this, to top it all off, Sky Sports understands that we also have lodged a bid for Victor Moses.

I’m sure you’ve all heard of Victor Moses, be it Football Manager or the many scouting reports out there. Linked with Real Madrid only a few weeks ago, Palace’s financial crisis has driven them into administration and they have to sell all their ‘fixed assests’ so to speak.

The one that catches everyones eye is indeed Victor Moses, the 19 year old is the latest Crystal Palace youngster to emerge from the ranks, after John Bostock’s move to Tottenham last year.

The Nigerian born lad has already played for the English U-19’s and has a huge future ahead of him. With the Evening Chronicle reporting that our bid is well and truly submitted, you can’t help but get a little bit excited at the prospect of the winger/striker playing in a Black & White shirt.

Time will tell, but at least we’re making our interest known in these types of players. These are the exact mold of players we need at the club, young, creative and with a future ahead of them.

It’s only a bid so far yet though, don’t get too excited just yet :D

Comments welcome :)

moses would be very good signing

  2. sleven says:

If this bid fails, and I think it will, I would like to see us go for Nugent. Portsmouth wont ask for much

  3. Doocey says:

Sleven, I think Burnley would be first in line for Nugent to be honest.

  4. magpie4ever says:

Though I dint think we’ll nab him I certainly dont see him choosing Burnley over us?!!! Ken Bates was right when outraged that Burnley were considering approaching Simon Grayson & said they were nowhere near as big as Leeds! He had a very valid point!!

  6. GeordieDan says:

Superb if we cud get him.

Got to admit I’m being pleasantly surprised by this January window so far and if you were Moses who would you pick, Forrest, West Brom ir Us?

I know I’m biased but I would like to think it’s a no brainer surely???

  9. Doocey says:

I think every Toon fan on the land is somewhat pleased by the January transfer window and the link with Victor Moses.
I think if we manage to get him, and it’s a big IF, then it’s been a very pleasing Jan transfer window.

i think victor would be a great move and why not try a cheeky one and see if we can get habib beye back on loan till the end of the season, think that would stand us in good stead.

  11. Toon4lifer says:

Come on Moses. Be a God and come Toonside.!

  12. Tez131 says:

Another Palace player and ex-toon that could do a job for us Darren Ambrose.
Wonder if we could get him on the cheap…
11 goals in 26 apps this season.

  13. GeordieDan says:

Ambrose had his chance(after chance, after chance) with us. not good enough. Moses or Vaughan.

  14. david veitch says:

Houghton’s going to be our best manager since Keegan, sign this lad he’s going to be a top English international.

  15. Yodahascometotynetside says:

  17. Nick says:

why is everyone exicted! i reckon we have put a bid in for him, but man city are in for him so….. as for yesterdays performance… i think nolan need a kick and i was very disappointed in the evening chronicle decision to give pancrete a 6! he came on and done a decent job and tried his best! thats all i want.. not nolan who just seems to be getting worse after a good few games!
got a tough few games coming up and if we get the results we’ll be sure to come top 2! bit nervous for Leicester tho and think we could be on the wrong side of a battering!

  18. Bigchrisfgb says:

We have made a bid alng with Forest, and WBA, and also it is said that these are increased bids, so thats indication that we have made a bid before aswell. I hope he comes but we may struggle to get him if a decent EPL team come in for him. As it stands where the only ones bidding, along with Forest, and WBA, and Man City are tied up with trying to get Johnson, hopefully everyone will join that fight and leave us to take Moses, but with the Admin revealing that they are considering bids from us, Forest, and WBA it is an indication that they are wanting other teams to join the race.
